Does anyone remember Del Shannon or know who he was? I enjoy 60's music; it was simple, yet deep and profound at the same time. Del Shannon wrote quite a few extremely good songs; they told stories and made you 'feel' something. One of my favorites has always been "Runaway". I was listening to this song one day and a story started to develop, it wove itself out of the music and I found that every time I wrote it helped if I had Del Shannon's music playing in the background.
List of songs by Del;
"Runaway"
"Keep Searching (We'll follow the sun)"
"Hats off to Larry"
"So Long Baby"
"Hey! Little Girl"
"I Won't Be There"
"Mary Jane"
"She"
"Sea of Love"
...........................Just to name a few....Del Shannon's words and music are timeless-
